        NTC temperature probe What is it? Temperature sensors are broadly classified into two types: contact and non-contact. Among these, the probe is a critical component of the temperature sensor, directly influencing the accuracy and stability of temperature measurements. Typically, temperature sensor probes can be divided into the following three main types:

  1. Insertion-type probe. NTC temperature probe What is it? This type of probe is primarily used to measure the temperature of both liquids and solids. Its tip is designed as a needle for puncturing. During measurement, if the probe’s temperature is lower than that of the object being measured, heat will transfer from the object to the probe according to the principle of energy conservation. Conversely, if the probe’s temperature exceeds that of the object, heat will flow from the probe into the object. In this case, the object being measured will be heated, and the temperature recorded will reflect the object’s post‑heating temperature. Under these circumstances, the ratio between the probe and the medium must be carefully considered: the better this ratio, the more accurately the energy absorbed by the object can be determined, thereby reducing measurement error. It is important to note that the temperature reading displayed by the instrument does not represent the temperature of the medium itself, but rather the temperature of the sensor. The primary approach to minimizing measurement error is to ensure that the penetration or immersion depth equals the probe’s diameter. 10 to 15 times; when the medium being measured is a liquid, keep it as still as possible.

During operation, the measurement method should be chosen in accordance with the NTC temperature probe type to minimize measurement errors.
