NTC thermistor Types of devices and their primary functions

(1) Epoxy‑encapsulated NTC thermistors (MF11 series, MF52 series, CWF1 series): This type… NTC thermistor The sensor chip is soldered to various lead wires and encapsulated in epoxy resin. Its key features include: compact size, rapid response, high measurement accuracy, a black epoxy‑filled exterior with a smooth, burr‑free surface, full resin filling free of air bubbles, and long‑term stable operation. It is primarily used for temperature measurement, compensation, and control, as well as in high‑precision instruments and meters.
(2) Enamelled wire NTC thermistor (MF52B and MF51E series): These thermistors are encapsulated in epoxy resin, featuring a robust construction and classified as precision NTC thermistors. The thermistor chip is soldered to two copper enameled wires. Available wire diameters include 0.17 mm, 0.20 mm, 0.25 mm, 0.28 mm, and 0.30 mm, with corresponding enameled wire options. They are widely used in electronic desk calendars, digital thermometers, mobile phone batteries, lithium‑ion batteries, and various instruments and devices.
(3) SMD‑packaged thermistors (CMF chip series): SMD thermistors feature a compact size and leadless construction, making them ideally suited for surface‑mount assembly. They are primarily used in various instruments and equipment, temperature‑compensation circuits, battery‑temperature measurement, and the temperature monitoring of microprocessors and integrated circuits.
(4) Glass‑encapsulated NTC thermistors (MF51 series, MF58 series, MF59 series): These glass‑encapsulated thermistors feature an integrated sensing element and are characterized by their small size, high accuracy, fast response, and excellent aging resistance. Thanks to their glass encapsulation, they are well suited for harsh environments such as high temperature and high humidity. NTC thermistors typically come in two configurations: single‑ended glass encapsulation and axial lead types. This type of thermistor is very common and is widely used in…
Currently NTC thermistor The development of instruments is not limited to discrete configurations; more often, they are integrated with sensors to form various probe assemblies that can function as standalone sensor units.
