They’re usually 5K or 10K, but there’s a plus or minus.

Temperature coefficient. These sensors are broadly classified into two types,

Temperature sensor And other sensors.
1. The thermistor used to detect whether the indoor ambient temperature has reached the setpoint is called the indoor ambient‑temperature thermistor, often abbreviated as “ambient‑temp thermistor.”
2. A thermistor installed on the indoor evaporator piping, used to measure the evaporating temperature of the refrigeration system, is referred to as the indoor pipe thermistor, or simply the indoor pipe temperature thermistor.
3. The thermistor installed at the indoor unit’s air outlet and used to control defrosting of the outdoor unit is called the indoor air‑outlet thermistor, often abbreviated as the exhaust‑air thermistor.
4. A thermistor installed on an outdoor radiator to measure the ambient outdoor temperature is called an outdoor ambient‑temperature thermistor, often abbreviated as “outdoor ambient thermistor.”
5. A thermistor installed on an outdoor radiator to measure the temperature of the indoor piping is called the outdoor pipe‑temperature thermistor, often abbreviated as “outdoor pipe‑temp thermistor.”
6. A thermistor installed on the outdoor compressor discharge pipe, used to monitor the temperature of the discharge line, is referred to as the outdoor compressor discharge‑pipe thermistor.
7. A thermistor installed near the compressor’s receiver tank, used to monitor the temperature of the liquid‑return line, is called the outdoor low‑pressure line thermistor.
