NTC Chip architecture : NTC A chip is a semiconductor component that is highly sensitive to temperature and exhibits a high temperature coefficient of resistance. It is manufactured using ceramic processes, with metal oxides such as manganese, cobalt, nickel, and copper as the primary materials. Because its conduction mechanism is entirely analogous to that of semiconductors like germanium and silicon, at low temperatures these oxide materials have a small number of charge carriers (electrons and holes), resulting in a relatively high resistance. As the temperature rises, the number of charge carriers increases, causing the resistance to decrease.
NTC Chip manufacturing process : First, ceramic powders of metal‑oxide semiconductors—such as manganese, cobalt, nickel, and copper—are formulated. These powders are then compacted into shaped ceramic ingots. The resulting thermistor ingots are subsequently subjected to high‑temperature sintering in a sintering furnace at 1200°C. After sintering, the NTC ceramic ingots are sliced to the required dimensions. Following slicing, silver paste is applied to the top electrodes of the thermistor chips. Finally, the thermistor wafers are diced to the desired sizes, sorted, and tested, with products of different precision levels separated to yield the finished components. NTC Chip.

NTC chips with gold- or silver-plated surfaces exhibit high-temperature resistance, stable performance, high precision, and excellent thermal cycling endurance.
NTC chip performance: Before encapsulation, the chip shall meet the following specifications: R25℃ = 99 kΩ to 101 kΩ, B‑value: B25/50 = 3910 K to 3989 K, and the bare die soldering drift (at 250°C for 1 second) ≤ 0.3%.
NTC chips have a wide range of applications, with common types including thermistors (available in small‑diameter, thin‑wire, thin‑film, and epoxy‑encapsulated formats), temperature sensors (fabricated using bare‑die processes), thermopile sensors, NTC chips designed for bonding applications, and thermopile array modules, among others.
