OA office automation equipment such as printers and copiers must use temperature sensors. Temperature sensors for inkjet printers are mainly installed on the print head. The temperature sensor for laser printers is mainly installed on the fixing unit.

The temperature sensor for laser printers mainly measures the temperature of the shadow roller. During fixing, if the toner heating temperature is too high, the printing paper will be damaged. If the toner heating temperature is too low, the toner will not melt completely, resulting in unstable imaging.

Therefore, the printer needs to install an NTC temperature sensor on the fixing assembly to achieve temperature control of the fixing device. The temperature sensor for copiers is mainly used for fixing components, and it is generally divided into a main temperature thermistor and a sub-temperature thermistor. The main temperature thermistor is installed in the middle of the heat roller to detect the temperature of the central part of the fuser roller and control the on and off of the fuser lamp; the sub-temperature thermistor is installed on the side of the fuser roller to detect the overheating of the fuser roller. The heating of the area is abnormal.

One of the most commonly used types in 3D printers is the NTC thermistor, which is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor whose resistance decreases with increasing temperature. It is made of semiconductors, mainly silicon and germanium, and their resistance values can vary by many orders of magnitude within their temperature range. The resistance of a 100k NTC thermistor at room temperature (20°C) is 100kΩ (100000Ω), and it drops to 100Ω at 300°C.
